DUBAI, SUMMER 2016
As we met for our first date, at the bar of a sushi restaurant in Dubai, little did we know that it would turn into our last first date. Waiting for our espresso martini’s at the bar, our conversation almost immediately started to revolve around furniture… a conversation which is still ongoing. Quickly our topics of conversation expanded to also cover sports, travel, food among many other. We went from having conversations as two people getting to know each other, to having conversations as two people knowing each other and for everything to feel “right” and a natural evolution.
Following Christmas with our families that year, we met in Slovakia to celebrate New Years Eve 2016/2017 together… our first vacation together; skiing and spending time with Katie’s family while starting a new year and new chapter together.
When we returned to Dubai we soon decided to move in together, everything felt and still feels,
like it is the way it has always supposed to be.

HE PROPOSED
LAKE COMO, APRIL 2018
After having been together for around a year and a half, jesper had been considering
the next evolution in the relationship, while knowing that katie was not opposed to the idea of marriage.
During a trip to copenhagen in january 2018, the first steps towards buying the ring was made.
in true “jesper style” everything was researched and evaluated over the next few months
and in april, the ring arrived from Copenhagen.
As we were planning to attend a furniture TRADE SHOW in milan in April, right before katie’s birthday,
the perfect opportunity for the proposal was also starting to present itself.
three nights at the il sereno hotel in lake como were booked and now we
just had to wait for the “perfect moment” to arrive. wasn’t that easy…
a couple of potential “perfect moments” passed and in the end jesper proposed on the
balcony of the hotel room. it was however still the perfect moment… a moment
where we were simply relaxing and enjoying time together,
couldn’t have been planned any better.
